Dr. Darleen Stoner, professor emeritus of environmental education, received the 2004 Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Award for Environmental EXPO and the 2007 Environmental Achievement Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 9, for her "exceptional work and commitment to protecting the environment".

    CSUSB Facilities Services received this award from The Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers for the efforts of LeRoy Wilke, now retired Chief Engineer and Energy Manager, to help create the California State University Comprehensive Energy Services Master Enabling Agreement.

    This award recognizes programs and processes that enhance service delivery, lower costs, increase productivity, improve customer service, generate revenue, or otherwise benefit the educational institution.
